SUBSTANCE: method comprises copolymerisation of propylene and α-olefin in the presence of a catalyst which comprises (i) a solid catalyst component which includes titanium, magnesium, halogen and a compound represented by R1O-C(=O)-O-Z-OR2, and (II) a compound represented by R3pAlQ3-p, to obtain a propylene-based block copolymer.
EFFECT: process for the preparation of a propylene-based block copolymer, which provides excellent olefin polymerisation activity and hydrogen activity (hydrogen response) during polymerisation and a propylene-based block copolymer is obtained, which exhibits a high melt flow rate (MFR), high stereoregularity and excellent stiffness.
