SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to an electrochemical battery, in which a metal control electrode is mounted. Electrochemical battery contains a housing, in which the negative and positive electrodes are located, interacting with the electrolyte, between which a control electrode is also installed, located in the environment of the separator, the auxiliary control electrode is coated with a resistant chemical insulator and is made with permeable electrolyte calibrated holes and is connected to an external current source. Increased efficiency of the electrochemical battery, as well as increased service life is the technical result of the invention.

EFFECT: control electrode ensures an efficient charging/discharging of the battery during the normal operation of the battery.
