METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EJECTOR UNIT OF VARIABLE CAPACITY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F25B41/00 F25B49/02

Abstract RU 2660723 C1

FIELD: control systems; heat exchange.

SUBSTANCE: method for controlling ejector unit (7) of a variable capacity, cooling system (1). Ejector unit (7) comprises two or more ejectors arranged in parallel along the fluid in the refrigerant path. System (1) comprises compressor (2), heat sinking heat exchanger (3), throttle device (4) and evaporator (5) located in the refrigerant path. Ejector unit (7) is fluidly connected in the refrigerant passage between heat sinking heat exchanger (3) and throttle device (4). System (1) comprises high-pressure valve (6) in the refrigerant duct in parallel in fluid with ejector unit (7) between heat sinking heat exchanger (3) and throttle device (4). Method includes the steps of: obtaining the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant leaving heat sinking heat exchanger (3), generating a high-pressure valve control signal for high-pressure valve (6) based on the obtained temperature and the pressure obtained and controlling the opening degree of high-pressure valve (6) in accordance with the control signal of the high-pressure valve, generating an ejector control signal for ejector unit (7) based on the obtained temperature and the resulting pressure, and also on the basis of the control signal of the high-pressure valve, wherein said ejector control signal indicates whether the productivity of ejector unit (7) should be increased, reduced or maintained, and controlling the productivity of ejector unit (7) in accordance with the generated ejector control signal by activating and deactivating one or more ejectors.

EFFECT: power consumption of cooling system (1) is reduced, while the pressure of the refrigerant leaving the heat sinking heat exchanger (3) is kept at an acceptable level.
