FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a honeycomb structure for use as a honeycomb filler for transforming shells. Honeycomb structure is formed from hexahedrons consisting of six extended thin plates, at the same time formed of at least three fragments connected in an equilateral triangle in the form of a lattice with triangular cells. Fragment consists of three hexahedrons connected in an equilateral triangle in the form of a lattice with triangular cells, wherein the first three plates of the hexahedron are made with a twist along the longitudinal axis by angle a within 30°–60°, the other three plates of the hexagon are made mirror-like the first three plates, and mirror-like plates are connected in pairs in an equilateral flat triangle, forming a flat lattice.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of the honeycomb structure, namely, the expansion of the functionality of the honeycomb structure by providing formation when transforming the honeycomb structure of a surface with a positive Gaussian curvature, for example, a spherical one.
