FIELD: vehicle suspension devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a suspension stop comprising a coil spring. Invention also relates to a suspension strut comprising such a stop. Suspension strut (10) comprises coil spring (14) and suspension stop (18). Stop (18) is rotated by plain bearing or roller bearing (20) comprising metal top washer (22) and metal bottom washer (24). Stop comprises unitary cup (34) having upper face (36) comprising area (38) of contact with bottom washer (26) and lower face (42) comprising planar outer annular shoulder (44) and at least partially cylindrical annular seat (46) turned radially outwards and delimiting, with outer shoulder (44), peripheral annular support area (47) for the top end of coil spring (14). Upper face (36) of unitary cup (34) comprises reinforcement ribs (40, 140) located radially outside the contact area. Unitary cup (34) comprises partition (49) forming annular fold (48) constituting containment face (54) and annular seat (46), containment face (54) being located radially within annular seat (46), upper face (36) of unitary cup (34) comprising reinforcement ribs (40, 140) extending into annular fold (48) of partition (49).

EFFECT: technical result is the development of simple design of a suspension stop, which includes both a coil spring and a buffer.
