SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to inorganic bactericidal materials and medical equipment. Bactericidal coating can also be used in the production of glass, ceramics, refractory materials, pigments and paints, building materials, display screens, monitors and television sets. Transparent bactericidal oxide coating is made from a composition comprising the following components, wt%: high molecular weight polyvinyl pyrrolidone – 0.20–5.00; tetraethoxy titanium – 0.10–1.00; acetone – 70.0–85.00; Mg(ClO4)2 – 0.20–5.00; cyclohexanone – 5–20. Fibre-optic element comprises a multicore optical fibre with a tip at the distal end. Tip is made in the form of a transparent plate, which is glued to the distal end of the multicore optical fibre. Outside, the plate is coated with a transparent bactericidal oxide coating.

EFFECT: improved transparency, homogeneity, bactericidal and photocatalytic properties of the coating.
