FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of identification of material resources and can be used for marking electrically conductive parts. Method includes creation of an identification mark on the surface of a metal part by applying an information grid with a digital code onto it, adding it to the database and identifying the part. When creating an identification mark on the surface of the metal part, a flat recess is created, flat surface of the recess is polished and etched, and the lines of the grain boundaries of the metal obtained during its microanalysis are used as an irreplaceable information grid, and the said recess is filled with a liquid transparent polymer or glass, which is polished after being solidified. After that, the specified identification characteristics of the created label are scanned with a fixed scale and added to the database. When identifying a part, the coordinates of the reference points obtained by merging three or more lines of grain boundaries of the metal are checked, and an analysis of the coincidence of the non-reproducible information grid of the identified part with the analogous one stored in the database is made.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable identification of parts.
