FIELD: ventilation.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method and apparatus for switching state that is used in an air cleaner. Method includes obtaining a state switching instruction; switching the current state from the "in operation" state to the "out of operation" state based on the state switching instruction; and in the "out of operation" state, maintaining the state "out of operation" until the given wake-up instruction is accepted. According to the invention, after switching the current state from the "in operation" state to the "out of operation" state on the basis of the state switching instruction, the "out of operation" state is maintained until a given wake-up instruction is received, no matter which operational instruction was accepted.
EFFECT: as a result, the safety is improved when using an air cleaner and the power consumption is reduced.
