FIELD: transport machinery.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of pipeline transport and is intended for temporary overlapping of the pipeline section, in particular, during repair works. Method for temporarily closing the gas pipeline is carried out by pumping the curable polyurethane foam composition therein, the composition contains the particulate material in the amount of 20–50 wt % of the polyurethane foam composition. Porophore-foaming agent with the high gas number is used as the dispersed material, it is decomposed at the temperature of 140–200 °C.
EFFECT: proposed method ensures reliable sealing of the gas pipeline, and the polyurethane sealing plug is easily removed after the completion of repair and restoration works without clogging the gas distribution mechanisms.
