FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a detergent and can be used as a universal means in instrument engineering for washing products from fluxes, mechanical, oil, grease, adhesives and abrasives. Composition of the detergent includes an alkali metal silicate, for which sodium, potassium or lithium silicates, benzyl alcohol and water in the following proportion, wt. % are used: alkali silicate – 0.1–2, benzyl alcohol – 1.5–3.5, water – balance up to 100. As a result of the interaction of a silicate of one of the alkali metals (sodium, potassium, lithium), which is a dispersant of firmly bound contaminants, benzyl alcohol having the properties of a solubilizer, and water, microemulsion is formed that ensures interaction with impurities and their removal from the surface to be cleaned.
EFFECT: detergent with a minimum number of components is able to remove a wide range of contaminants, meets modern requirements of environmental and industrial safety, is economical in use, has a low cost price.
