FIELD: alcoholic beverage industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the alcohol industry and can be used in establishing the origin of ethanol in alcoholic beverages of grape origin. For this purpose, the alcohol sample is distilled at a temperature of 78.0–78.5 °C, are divided into three aliquots. Further, aliquots are separately subjected to isotope mass spectrometric analysis with establishing ratios of the abundances of stable isotopes of a particular element (13C/12C, 18O/16O, D/H). Obtained quantitative characteristics are compared among themselves and with the predetermined characteristics of the control samples. As control samples, ethanol samples are used from known sources, namely grapes, grains, cane sugar, molasses and synthesized chemically. Origin of ethanol in alcohol production is judged by the degree of coincidence or deviation of the obtained isotopic characteristics of the sample.
EFFECT: invention provides an accurate and reliable analysis, allowing to judge the origin of alcohol in a sample of alcoholic products.
