METHOD FOR REPOSITION OF CALCANEAL FRAGMENTS WHEN PERFORMING OBLIQUE OSTEOTOMY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/16

Abstract RU 2661705 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to traumatology and orthopedics, and is intended for use in surgical treatment of patients with improperly consolidated calcaneus fractures. Rod-screw is introduced into the frontal calcaneal fragment, obtained by osteotomy, parallel to the osteotomy plane, in the direction corresponding to the direction of displacement of the rear calcaneal fragment, determined in the course of preoperative planning, nut is screwed thereon and a cube retainer is inserted by the end hole, the free edge of the retainer is oriented to the calcaneal tuberosity and fixed in this position by a second nut. Rod-screw is further inserted into the rear calcaneal fragment through a selected retainer guide hole. Nut is further screwed onto the second rod-screw to the level of the nut of the first rod-screw, after removing the retainer. After that, it is finally fixed with the nut on the first rod, and then, rotating the nut on the rod-screw inserted into the rear calcaneal fragment, said fragment is shifted to the planned distance. And under the control of the EOC, comparisons of lateral cortical plates of the rear and frontal calcaneal fragments are added, after which the metalloesteosynthesis is performed with screws.

EFFECT: method allows the most accurate restoration of the calcaneus shape due to a controlled reposition of calcaneal fragments, when performing oblique corrective osteotomy along the fracture consolidation line, in a strictly defined plane and to the required distance.
