METHOD OF GROWING CHICKPEAS IN DRY CONDITIONS OF THE STEPPE CRIMEA Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A01B79/02 A01G2/00

Abstract RU 2661815 C2

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of agriculture, namely to the technology of cultivation of chickpeas in arid conditions of the steppe Crimea, which refers to leguminous crops. Method includes presowing seed treatment, seeding, plant care and harvesting. In this case, chickpea are sown after treatment of seeds with biological preparations on the basis of breeding strains of nodule bacteria to increase symbiotic nitrogen fixation, for example, rhizobophyte, in the early periods at a temperature of +2÷+4 °C with a row spacing of 45–70 cm. To obtain friendly shoots at a temperature of +5÷+6°C, seeds are buried to the same depth in the moist soil layer (6–8 cm), with an average humidification depth of 9–10 cm, in dry conditions – to 15 cm until a wet layer of soil is obtained, followed by its rolling. Sowing is placed in the link of the "winter wheat or barley – chickpeas – winter crops" crop rotation, and harvesting is carried out in the phase of full ripeness of the grain.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the yield by stimulating the nitrogen-fixing activity of nodule bacteria, exclude the use of herbicides and mineral fertilizers, and reduce yield losses.
