FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and is intended for use in an arid zone when growing grain crops in a three-field grain-fallow crop rotation. Method involves sowing green manure and mowing green mass of green manure crops. Green manure used is a mixture of leguminous and cereal annual grasses of winter type of development, which are sown with a grain sowing machine of direct seeding on uncultivated soil. Mowing of the green mass is carried out when plants reach height of 50-60 cm, after which it is crushed and uniformly distributed on the surface of the field with mixing of plant residues with the upper layer of soil to depth of 5-6 cm. Further treatment of soil is carried out as a pure fallow with a stubble cultivator to the depth of seeding.

EFFECT: method provides higher yield of winter grain crops and higher quality of grain.
