METHOD OF FREQUENCY-PULSE REGULATION OF RESONANT CONVERTER WITH PHASE AUTO-TUNING OF PULSE WIDTH Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H02M3/337

Abstract RU 2662228 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in devices for converting a direct current of one level into a direct current of a different level, in particular in power supplies. Method of pulse-width adjustment of the output voltage of a resonant converter is that a predetermined voltage level is maintained on the load of the resonant converter, for which purpose the voltage value is measured on the load of the resonant converter and a constant voltage signal proportional to the load value is formed. Setpoint voltage proportional to the supported voltage level on the load is then set, and a differential signal (PC) is generated using a proportional-integral-differentiating controller. An AC signal proportional to the loop current is formed, it is converted into an AC voltage signal (ACVS) and the instant of the AC voltage signal transition through zero is monitored. Depending on the PC value, variable width pulses are generated using a PWM controller, clocked by a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). Pulses are fed to the control electrodes of the key elements of the inverter, at the same time they provide phase auto-tuning of the switching frequency by setting the pulse repetition frequency, such that the instant of generation of the signal front by the VCO coincides in time with the instant of ACVS transition through zero.

EFFECT: technical result consists in phase auto-tuning of the switching frequency by introducing feedback on the loop current to provide a zero phase offset between the current circulating in the loop and the control signals.
