FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the spacecraft with solar cells (SC) power supply system. Method comprises the SC current and angular position parameters measuring. When measuring the SC current determining the distance from the Earth to the Sun and turning the normal line to the SC working surface until the angle of Q+ƒsb in the direction to the nadir, where Q and ƒsb are the visible from the spacecraft Earth's disk half-opening angles and the SC working surface sensitivity zones. Performing the Earth shooting in the visible spectrum. According to the Earth’s measured brightness, the shooting equipment, the Earth, the Sun, SC and spacecraft relative position parameters, distance from the Earth to the Sun, and the SC measured current, updating the SC efficiency parameters values. At that, for the planned flight interval considering the cloud covering and various types of the ground surface sections, separated from the spacecraft path by a distance depending on the angle Q. Predicting the SC current taking into account of the predicted distance from the Earth to the Sun, the SC angular position and visible from the spacecraft clouds and the said surface areas.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the SC output current forecasting accuracy when taking into account of the SC illumination from the Earth side.
