FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the space equipment. Spacecraft (SC) equipped with solar batteries (SB) power supply system monitoring method includes measuring the SB current and the SB angular position parameters, the SB efficiency parameters determination and the power supply system control by the SB current measured and calculated values comparison results. On the SB current measuring interval, determining the distance from the Earth to the Sun, performing the SB rotation. Performing the illuminated by the Sun SC structural elements shooting in the visible spectral range. From the SC structural elements brightness measurements, parameters relative to the shooting equipment position, filmed SC structural elements, the Sun, SB and SC, determined distance from the Earth to the Sun, and the SB current measurements, updating the SB efficiency parameters values. Predicting the SB current under the influence of radiation coming from the Sun and illuminated by the Sun SC structural elements. With detection of discrepancy between the SB current measured and calculated values, their comparison is performed taking into account of the SB angular position measured parameters relative to the Sun and the SC structural elements.
EFFECT: increase in the SB output current prediction accuracy.
