Method comprises the steps of: receiving an account identifier from the user in response to the interaction of the user device with the seller's device; authenticate, through the processor, the user based on the account identifier by: (I) transfer of the account identifier to the payment card issuer device through the payment network, wherein the payment card issuer device comprises a network communication device, a processor, and a data store; and (II) receiving the identity verification information associated with the account identifier from the payment card issuer through the payment network, the identity verification information is retrieved from the data store of the payment card issuer device; and transmit identity verification information to the seller's device, wherein the received identity verification information comprises a pointer that is based, at least in part, on the date of verification of the identity verification information associated with the user.
