SUBSTANCE: interaction between a server and a client. The client device receives the first request from the server and determines and provides the first response to the first request. The cookie associated with the secure relation is set. This cookie is shared between client and server. To establish a secure relationship in a subsequent interaction, the client provides a cookie to the server. The server then provides both the first request and the second request, to which the client specifies a first response and a second response. The client then provides a composite response from which the first response and the second response can be inferred by the server, allowing the server to ensure that a secure relationship exists. Each request uses a request function adapted to provide the indentation of the client device. Also the methods described are implemented on the client and on the server, and the client and server are configured accordingly.
