FIELD: measuring equipment; optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of surveying measurements and can be used to transfer the orientation (directional) angles to underground mine workings and subway tunnels. Device includes a goniometer device and, sequentially, an arrangement along the axis of its rotation, a laser, a polarizer, and an analyzer. Laser with a polarizer is fixed on the surface independently from the goniometer, creating a fixed plane of polarization between the surface and the orientable horizons. Analyzer is rigidly connected with the goniometer and is equipped with a brightness sensor that fixes the change in the brightness of the polarized laser beam during discrete turns of the goniometer to derive the functional dependence of the brightness on the angle of rotation, its maximum value determines the position of the polarization plane along the limb of the goniometer, that is subsequently installed and centered under the polarized laser beam at the surface and orientable horizons.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to simplify the design, improve the reliability and accuracy of measurements.
