SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a coating composition. Described is a coating composition comprising a system comprising a dye encapsulated in a matrix of a polymer, wherein the dye only shows absorption outside the visible part of the spectrum, wherein the encapsulated system is able to undergo a detectable change in the absorption properties under the influence of moisture. Method for detecting moisture in coated objects is also described.
EFFECT: technical result: creation of a coating composition for various types of surfaces, suitable for detecting moisture in objects.
