SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Pneumatic tire comprises circumferential main grooves, a contact portion defined by circumferential major grooves, and a plurality of lateral grooves disposed on the contact portion that open into the circumferential main grooves. Contact portion comprises recesses formed on the opening portions of the transverse grooves, and bevelled portions formed on the edge portions of the recesses. Recesses have an edge portion with V-shaped profile with a projection in the circumferential direction of the tire. Maximum width W2 of the notches and the width W3 of the beveled portions have a relation 0.30≤W3/W2≤1.80.
EFFECT: improving the performance of the tire when driving on wet roads and improving durability.
