SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Pneumatic tire includes at least four circumferential main grooves, which extend in direction along tire circumference, and at least five contact sections limited by circumferential main grooves. Each of central contact section and left and right second contact sections includes through transverse side grooves, which have inclination at specified angle of inclination relative to lateral direction of tire and pass through contact section in lateral direction of tire. Through transverse side grooves located on central contact section and through transverse lateral grooves located on left and right second contact sections pass in lateral direction of tire with inclination in directions opposite to each other. At least one wall of the groove in each of the through transverse side grooves located on the left and right second contact sections includes a stepped bent part that is bent in the direction along the circumference of the tire in the form of the tread.

EFFECT: improvement of tire operational characteristics when driving on snow.
