CONTROL SYSTEM OF HIGH VOLTAGE THYRISTOR VALVE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H02M1/88 H02M1/92 H02H7/10 H02H7/20 H03K17/08

Abstract RU 2662804 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used to control serially connected thyristors by means of signals transmitted by optical means. System comprises control unit (3) and drivers (4) of series connected thyristor cells (2) connected with control unit by duplex fiber links (5). Unit (3) is made in the form of two independent sub-units (6), each of which is connected by lines (5) with drivers (4) of all thyristor cells (2). Drivers (4) and sub-units (6) are equipped with optical data transmission ports (7), to which lines (5) are connected. Sub-units (6) are configured to send a start command, protected by a checksum or a control bit, to each driver (4) via optical ports (7) and acknowledge the receipt of the specified start command from each driver (4) at least from another sub-unit (6), and generate a fault signal of sub-unit (6), if confirmation from at least one driver (4) is not acknowledged. Drivers (4) are configured to verify the start command from each of subunits (6), send the specified acknowledgments and start thyristor cell (2) in case of positive result of checking the start command received from any of sub-units (6).

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of control of high-voltage thyristor valve.
