FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing electric power transmission lines and can be used in carrying out resource and other tests of superconducting cable lines. For this purpose, the method of testing a bipolar high-temperature superconducting DC cable line is to maintain the superconducting state of its cores with a refrigerant coming from the cryogenic supply system, supply voltage between the cores of the bipolar HTS cable line and simulate the current load. Current load is simulated with at least one DC source, which is coupled to one of the cores of the bipolar HTS cable line.
EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of functionality based on reduction and cost-cutting of the necessary test equipment.
