FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of creation of sorption protective shield that can be used for reclamation of lands containing technogenic wastes and natural formations with an increased radiation background. Protective shield formed during reclamation of contaminated lands with an increased radiation background is made by a two-layer shield. Lower shielding layer consists of compacted neutralized phosphogypsum – a waste product of extraction phosphoric acid containing calcium sulfate, phosphorus compounds, impurities of rare earth oxides. Upper shielding layer consists of a mixture of said neutralized phosphogypsum and natural dispersed sedimentary soil at weight ratio of (0.6÷1.1):(8÷9.5), respectively.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide effective protection of the environment from radionuclides while simplifying the technology of forming a protective screen.
