SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a computer technology for searching for files. Technical result is achieved by receiving search results, the search results are displayed in the user interface according to a certain ranking of each search result; receiving input settings in the user interface, the input configuration data indicates that the search results ranking model must be adjusted for the specified search result attributes; dynamically updating the displayed search results as the search result ranking model is adjusted for said one or more predetermined search result attributes, in this case, the dynamic update includes one of the following: repositioning, adding and deleting search results according to said specific ranking for each search result to control how the search results are presented in the user interface; and saving a set of settings for the search results ranking model as a configuration profile, the configuration profile corresponds to the specified search term or attribute.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the efficiency of the ranking of search files.
