FIELD: applied physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to applied physics and can be used to measure density of any liquid media, including chemically active, in wide range of temperatures with high accuracy and less time. Densitometer, including scale, vessel with test liquid, installed on balance scales, it is attached to thin thread calibrated ball, made of continuous corrosion-resistant material, specific gravity of which is greater than specific gravity of liquid being studied, and ball volume is exactly one cubic centimeter. Technical result is possibility of direct measurement of density of any liquid (liquid medium) directly in g/cm3 on high-precision scales with less time consuming, with greater accuracy, with small amount of liquid being examined (no more than 15…20 cm3) and over wide range of temperatures by rapid and easy replacement of vessels with liquid being studied heated to given temperature, and rapid results obtaining of measuring density of given fluid without changing prescribed temperature regime.

EFFECT: possibility of direct measurement of density of any liquid (liquid medium).
