FLOAT DENSIMETER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: float densimeter has float submerged into the vessel filled with liquid. The densimeter is provided with ohmmeter and resilient elastic cord which has wire made of electroconducting rubber, and envelope of the cord is made of isolation resilient elastic material, for example, of rubber or latex. Top end of the cord is attached to lower base of the float for electric contact of the wire with current-conducting float. Lower end of the cord is fastened to base of the vessel, moreover, the wire is insulated from the vessel and liquid. Outputs of ohmmeter are connected with current-conducting vessel and free end of the wire correspondingly. Density of the float and rigidity of the cord correspond to condition of presence of the float at lower part of the vessel at minimal density of liquid and at top part at maximal density of the same liquid.
