VENTILATION METHOD AND DEVICE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M16/12 A61M16/10

Abstract RU 2663557 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, particularly to a device for emergency ventilation of a patient and a method for controlling the ventilator to provide immediate care to the patient. Device comprises a base unit for providing breathing gas for the patient ventilation. Device comprises a contact device for connection to a patient to be ventilated. Contact device is coupled to the base unit so that the breathing gas can flow between the base unit and contact device. An additive to the breathing gas can be fed into the device. Inlet of the additive is arranged in such a way that it is possible to supply the additive to the breathing gas during the expiration period for filling the pipes and hoses of the base unit and the breathing hose. Supply of the additive to the breathing gas is carried out directly in contact devices or in a portion of the breathing hose adjacent to contact device. Method includes a step of providing a pressurised volumetric flow rate of breathing gas by the device. Method comprises a step of providing a pressurised volumetric flow of an additive to the breathing gas. Provision of gas, as well as the volumetric flow of the additive to the breathing gas is carried out on the contact device such that during the expiration cycle the volumetric flow of the additive to the breathing gas at least partially flows into a reservoir for adding to the breathing gas.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of maintaining the concentration of the additive even in high flow rate phases.
