FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for producing nitrogen oxide for use with a device for artificial pulmonary ventilation. System comprises one or more plasma chambers, each of which contains one or more electrodes designed to produce a production gas containing nitrogen oxide, using a stream of reagent gas, a controller configured to control the amount of nitrogen oxide using one or more parameters as input data for a control algorithm, wherein at least one of one or more parameters is associated with reagent gas flow, a reagent gas source configured to instantaneously feed high pressure gas reagent into plasma chambers, flow rate regulator designed to provide controlled continuous variable flow of reagent gas from a reagent gas source based on measurement associated with medical gas, one or more purification paths designed to remove NO2 from production gas, wherein the NO concentration in the combination of the production gas and the medical gas is the target value, and the measurement associated with the medical gas is the medical gas flow rate so that the reagent gas flow through the one or more plasma chambers is proportional to the medical gas flow rate.
EFFECT: invention facilitates delivery of nitrogen oxide either in mode with bypass flow, or in mode with main flow.
