FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for hydroconversion of hydrocarbon fractions. Method for upgrading residuum hydrocarbons includes: solvent deasphalting a residuum hydrocarbon fraction to produce a deasphalted oil fraction and an asphalt fraction; feeding the asphalt fraction obtained by solvent deasphalting into a first fluidised bed hydrocracking reactor system; contacting the asphalt fraction and hydrogen with a first hydroconversion catalyst in a first fluidised bed hydrocracking reactor system, resulting in removal of sulphur ranging from about 40% by weight to about 80% by weight, removal of metals ranging from about 60% by weight to about 85% by weight, and removal of Conradson carbon residue (CCR) ranging from about 30% by weight to about 65% by weight; recovering effluent from the first fluidised bed hydrocracking reactor system; fractionating the effluent from the first fluidised bed hydrocracking reactor system to recover one or more hydrocarbon fractions; contacting the deasphalted oil fraction and hydrogen with a hydrodesulphurisation catalyst in a fixed bed hydrodesulphurisation unit, wherein the deasphalted oil fraction has a metal content of less than 80 parts per million and a Conradson carbon residue (CCR) content less than 10% by weight; recovering the effluent from the fixed bed hydrodesulphurisation unit; contacting the effluent from the fixed bed hydrodesulphurisation unit or a portion thereof with a third hydrocracking catalyst in a second fluidised bed hydrocracking reactor system. Four versions of the conversion method are disclosed.

EFFECT: technical result is a wider residue conversion range, while obtaining petroleum fuel with a low content of impurities.
