FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the folding of sheet products. Unit for folding sheet products comprises a first folding cylinder and a second folding cylinder. Cylinders are designed to rotate together in opposite directions. Cylinders interact at the point of removal and clamping for folding products. First cylinder comprises a working surface, cutting means and vacuum means. Method of folding sheet products comprises cutting paper material into segments on the first folding cylinder. Vacuum is created on the working surface of the first folding cylinder. Product is clamped by the second folding cylinder.
EFFECT: enabling careful and precise release of material at the folding stage even at high speed.
