FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation and control of road-building machines. In the proposed method, a team of machines consists of a leading and driven machines. During the movement, the leading machine tracks, with leveling, the maximum of the reflected optical radiation difference at the boundary of the roadway and the roadside. Synchronization of driven machines by speed is provided by tracking the transverse light plane generated by the driving machine. Parallel movement of the driven machines is provided on the basis of tracking the installation distances to the leading machine. Current inter-machine distances are determined on the basis of the difference in the propagation velocities of the laser and acoustic pulses synchronously emitted by the leading machine.
EFFECT: increasing productivity and reduction of labor intensity of road workers are provided.
