FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multilayer coating film comprising a lower coating comprising a first coloring material and a shiny material, as well as an upper coating applied to the lower coating and containing a second coloring material, as well as a coated article containing the multilayer coating film. Top coating and the bottom coating have similar colors, and the refractive index of the film component of the bottom coating, which is not the first coloring material, is higher than the refractive index of the topcoat film component, which is not a second coloring material. In this case, the topcoat film component, which is not a second coloring material, includes a polymer and nanoparticles having a lower refractive index than the polymer, and the film component of the lower coating, which is not the first coloring material, includes a polymer and nanoparticles having a higher refractive index than the polymer.
EFFECT: this configuration of the multi-layer coating film makes it possible to show it a brilliant color due to the combination of colored light, which is reflected by the shiny material in the lower coating and exits the multilayer coating film and colored light that is reflected from the interface between the top coating and the bottom coating and exits the multilayer coating film, and also provide two colored light beams having similar colors coming out of it along two different optical paths, which allows using it in coated articles to give them an unsurpassed brilliant color.
