FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multilayer coating film comprising a lower coating comprising a coloring material, an upper coating applied to the lower coating, and a protective coating applied to the top coating, as well as to a coated article containing the above multilayer coating film. In this case, the refractive index of the film component of the top coating is lower than not only the refractive index of the film component of the lower coating, which is not a coloring material, but also than the refractive index of the film component of the protective coating; the film component of the topcoat includes a polymer and nanoparticles having a lower refractive index than the polymer; film component of the lower coating, which is not a coloring material, includes a polymer and nanoparticles having a higher refractive index than the polymer; and the film component of the protective coating includes a polymer and nanoparticles having a higher refractive index than the polymer.
EFFECT: part of the light incident on this multilayer coating film is reflected in the entire wavelength range from the surface of the protective coating and from the interface between the top coating and the bottom coating, which makes it possible to obtain an increase in the intensity of the reflected light, as a result of which the surface of the multilayer coating film and the coated article has a high gloss and a glossy appearance.
