SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a method and apparatus for monitoring sensors of a moving object orientation system. To monitor the sensors of the orientation system, the values and directions of the yaw, pitch and roll angles of the mobile object are measured, converted into trigonometric functions of the sine and cosine angles of rotation at the outputs of the sensors, compare the sums of the signals with the allowable values, invert the directions and the sequence of changes in roll, pitch, yaw and sum with the measured values, compare the resultant position of the mobile object with the original, make a conclusion about the failure of the sensors when the measured values do not coincide with their inverted values. Device contains sinus and cosine outputs of the sensors of yaw, pitch and roll, fourteen multipliers, five inverters, three adders, a constant signal generator, six converters, six comparators, OR circuit, connected in a certain way.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and reliability of detecting the failure of sensors of mobile objects is provided.
