FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a two-layered combined preparation for the treatment of diabetes, comprising a layer of gemigliptin and a layer of metformin, and to a process for its preparation. The dosage form has the same dissolution rates for gemigliptin and metformin as compared to the same characteristic dissolution rates of the two components in the form of separate dosage forms.
EFFECT: improved effect in prevention and treatment of diabetes and associated diseases and reduced side effects of each component, so as to maintain and improve the patient's compliance with the treatment regimen.
