Method for extracting and processing emulsion from oil / water separator involves detecting emulsion parameter, passing emulsion stream from separator, combining emulsion flow with aqueous stream leaving separator, creating dilute emulsion, dynamic dilution of diluted emulsion based on emulsion parameter, and separating diluted emulsion into substream containing essentially water, and discarded stream containing substantially oil. Extraction and processing system of emulsion from oil / water separator 200 comprises oil / water separator 102, detection device 104 of emulsion level in separator or emulsion flow composition; mixing elbow 214, at least one control valve 112, oil removal hydrocyclone 116, and separation device 122.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to improve separation of oil-water emulsion.
