FISSURE-DETECTION AGENT, METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF AND USE OF THE FISSURE-DETECTION AGENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N21/91

Abstract RU 2664689 C2

FIELD: fault detection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fissure-detection agents in the form of micro-emulsions with low average particle size and high transparency, method for manufacturing water-based micro-emulsions, method for processing thereof, in which an organic solvent comprises at least one dye dissolved therein, as well as to the use of said agents for testing and fault detection by a capillary method in particular in metallic workpieces. Proposed is a fissure-detection agents for fault detection according to the penetration method, which is a micro-emulsion, comprises: A) at least 10 wt% of water A), B) at least 0.1 wt% of at least one dye B) having a solubility in water at 20 °C and normal pressure is less than 0.1 g/l, C) at least 5 wt% of at least one substantially water-insoluble liquid phase C), wherein the solubility of the substantially water-insoluble or water-insoluble organic compounds of substantially water-insoluble phase C) in distilled water at 20 °C and normal pressure is not more than 60 g/l, D) at least 2 wt% of at least one surfactant D) selected from nonionic, anionic and/or amphoteric surfactants, wherein the sum of all components is 100 wt%, wherein the fault detection agent has an average particle size, measured with a Zeta-sizer Nano-ZS of Malvern, is in the range of 1 to 250 nm and has a transparency of at least 70% at 600 nm, measured using a CADA 100-V photometer of Hach Lange GmbH in a quartz cuvette with 10 mm thickness of the irradiated liquid at a temperature of 20 °C and under normal pressure of transparency of a similar micro-emulsion, but dye-free, except for yellow fluorescent dyes of fissure-detection agents.

EFFECT: increased fault detection.
