FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the composite materials manufacturing and use technology, which composition and structure provides effective absorption of electromagnetic energy in the certain range of radio wavelengths. Described radio-absorbing coating formation method includes sequential loading of polymer binder and magnetic filler – powdered ferrite or iron into the mixer, their mixing by the rotating device. As the magnetic filler, mixture of powdered ferrite or iron and having the comminuted shape ferrite granules is used. Coating composition comprises, wt. %: polymer binder 40–60, powdered ferrite or iron 20–30, comminuted ferrite granules 20–30. To obtain the high level of electromagnetic energy absorption in the centimeter wavelength range, one or two layers of such coating are sufficient with the coating total thickness of not more than 1 mm.
EFFECT: technical result is increase of the radio-absorbing coating efficiency while the thickness minimizing, the number of layers, and the coating formation method implementation complexity.
