SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for spraying liquids for wet cleaning of gas emissions and can be used in the chemical, oil and other industries. Atomizer with an elliptical swirler contains a cylindrical chamber for supplying gas, an axial sprinkler with throttling openings for supplying liquid and a gas-liquid flow swirler. Sprinkler with throttling holes is plugged from the outlet end by a centrifugal element consisting of serially connected profiled disks, on the end part of which protrusions and depressions are made in the form of an Archimedean spiral. Protrusions on one disc enter with a gap in the depressions on another disk with the formation of a channel in the form of an Archimedean spiral communicating with the cavity of the cylindrical chamber. In the end part of the cylindrical chamber, at the inlet of gas and liquid flows, a disk with perforation for the gas inlet is located, which is rigidly connected to the cylindrical chamber by its external surface, and the internal surface is rigidly connected to the sprinkler. In the cylindrical chamber, two swirlers are installed in series. Swirler, located at the gas inlet, is rigidly fixed to the tube of the sprinkler. Swirler at the outlet is rigidly fixed to the inner surface of the cylindrical chamber. Between the swirlers two gaps are made for interaction with the gas and the liquid: the axial gap is for interaction with the liquid and the tangential gap for interaction with the gas. Each of the swirlers is made in the form of an elliptical paraboloid, the guide blades of which are curved along the helical surface and form curvilinear convergent ducts.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of formation of a finely dispersed gas-liquid phase.
