SUBSTANCE: device is designed for draining liquids from the crankcase cavities of vehicles and can be used for their maintenance and repair. In the method, the device comprises a canister with a neck, a funnel with a tube, an element for passing oil from the funnel into the cavity of the canister. Also, the free end of the element is lowered into the cavity of the canister through its neck. Above element is made in the form of a rigid base under the funnel in the shape of a tube, passed into the canister cavity without touching with its lower portion the bottom surface of the canister, wherein, on the side of the upper portion, said canister tube is completed with a rim with the possibility of forming therein a threaded screw hole with a rotational axis, lying in the horizontal plane, a funnel is installed in the canister tube by means of its tube, and with the possibility of axial movement of the funnel tube through the canister tube. Also, a screw is screwed into the threaded hole of the rim of the canister tube with the possibility of interacting its free end with the side surface of the funnel tube, on the side of the lower portion of the canister tube, holes are made, whose axes are in parallel horizontal planes, the throughput of such holes in the canister tube is greater than the capacity of the funnel with the mesh, whose capacity in turn is greater than the capacity of the drain hole of the crankcase.
