FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for the production of heat-insulating coatings and specifically for the thermal insulation of metal surfaces of industrial equipment and working surfaces of pipelines operated at low (up to 100 °C) temperatures. Said coating is produced on the basis of a composition comprising a binder, hollow microspheres, a pigment and water. As a binder, the composition comprises a mixture of butadiene-styrene rubber and acrylic polymer, the rubber content of the mixture being 30–70 wt. % of the total amount of butadiene-styrene rubber and acrylic polymer. Hollow carbon microspheres are used as the hollow microspheres at the following ratio of the components of the composition, wt. %: mixture of styrene-butadiene rubber and acrylic polymer 25–35; hollow carbon microspheres 20–30; pigment 3–5; water – is the rest.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in thermal insulation and strength properties of the coating, a reduction in its specific gravity.
