FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for providing a metallic or concrete surface of a chemical installation with a coating, a coating composition, and a chemical installation on which a coating is applied. First, a coating composition comprising an epoxy-functional resin and an amine curing agent for an epoxy-functional resin is prepared, wherein the coating composition comprises an organic silicon compound selected from the group of organosilanes and organosiloxanes, at a molar ratio of silicon atoms of the organic silicon compound and epoxy groups in the coating composition in the range of 0.25–0.75:1.00. Coating composition is applied to the metal or concrete surface of the chemical installation to form a coating layer. Coating is cured at a temperature in the range of 0 to 50 °C. Chemical installation comprises a metal or concrete surface, is provided with an inner lining of the cured coating composition, and also with a coating composition suitable for providing the metal or concrete surface of a chemical installation with a coating.
EFFECT: invention provides a coating that demonstrates a wide range of applications and high chemical resistance.
