FIELD: aerospace industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerospace sealant composition, cured sealant, a part, a method for sealing a part and a sealant structure. The sealant composition includes: from 50 to 70 wt.% of simple polythioester prepolymer with terminal thiol groups of the formula , from 15 to 21 wt.% of polyepoxide and from 35 to 55 vol.% of a low-density filler. The low-density filler is characterized by specific weight of less than 0.1. The filler contains low-density microcapsules containing aminoplast resin coating. Aminoplast resin contains melamine-formaldehyde resin or urea-formaldehyde resin. Low-density microcapsules with coating are characterized by specific weight in the range from 0.03 to 0.06. The composition is characterized by specific weight of less than 0.9.
EFFECT: reduction in the weight of aerospace aircraft.
