FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of sorbents for cleaning aqueous media and hard surfaces from oil and petroleum products. Method for producing a magnetic sorbent is proposed. Wood waste such as sawdust, chips, dust or coal and coke waste such as sludge, fines, dust are mixed with a binder that is dung, or litter, or activated sludge, in the initial state or after anaerobic digestion, and with magnetite. Resulting mixture is granulated. Carbonization of the granules is carried out at 400–800 °C.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a sorbent with a greater absorptive capacity and buoyancy, as well as expanding the raw material base for obtaining magnetic sorbents.
