FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of modified polyaspartic acids in dishwashing detergents, in particular as dispersing agents, scale inhibitors and stain inhibitors. Use of modified polyaspartic acid as an additive in dishwashing detergent is described, this modified polyaspartic acid can be obtained as a result of polycondensation (i) from 50 to 99 % mole, preferably from 60 to 95 % mole, especially preferably from 80 to 95 % mole, aspartic acid and methanesulfonic acid in the ratio from 50:1 to 12:1; and (ii) from 1 to 50 % mole, preferably from 5 to 40 % mole, especially preferably from 5 to 20 % mole, at least one carboxyl-containing compound and subsequent hydrolysis of this co-condensate with the addition of a base, (ii) is not aspartic acid.

EFFECT: high cleaning ability, reduced deposit formation.
