SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a polyaspartic acid salt and use of a polyaspartic acid salt. This method includes the following stages: (a) providing in a reactor contacting components of a mixture containing: aspartic acid, from 3 to 10 mol % of an acid catalyst and optionally water; (b) heating the mixture according to (a) while cooling with a reflux condenser without distillation at a reaction temperature of 100 to 220 °C to degree of conversion of aspartic acid of at least 1 %; (c) polycondensation of the reaction mass according to (b) with simultaneous distillation of water at temperature of 170 to 250 °C; (d) hydrolysis of polycondensation products according to (c) when adding a base. Acid catalyst is phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, methanesulphonic acid, amidosulphonic acid, p-toluenesulphonic acid and isethionic acid. Base is a solution of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide solution, calcium hydroxide, barium hydroxide, soda, potassium carbonate, ammonia and ammonium hydroxide. Polyaspartic acid salt is used as an additive to flushing agents, detergents and cleaning agents. Also used as inhibitor of formation of deposits or dispersants in water supply systems.
EFFECT: technical result is the development of a method of producing polyaspartic acid salt.
