FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bidirectional valved aspirator bypassing the intake system compressor in the engine system. Methods for the engine are proposed. In one embodiment, motive flow is adjusted through a valved aspirator bypassing the intake system compressor and having a first engagement window connecting the external side of the aspirator to the vacuum source, and a second engagement window connecting the side of the aspirator collector to the vacuum source, wherein the first engagement window is recessed relative to the nominal inclination of the aspirator based on the engine vacuum and the intake manifold pressure requirements.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption due to the use of a radial flow aspirator shut-off valve, and the formation of a vacuum under supercharged and unsupercharged conditions.
